The Tale of the Meth Head Raccoon

The Tale of the Meth Head Raccoon

The Tale of the Meth Head Raccoon

As wildlife removal specialists in Houston, TX, we’re always tickled whenever we see a story about animals doing something crazy. These stories don’t just make us laugh—they help to demonstrate why wildlife removal is such a necessity, especially in urban environments where you might not expect to need such a service.

This story comes from a Cincinnati suburb. Cops stopped a driver with a suspended license. Her pet raccoon was in the car.

The raccoon’s name was Chewy, and Chewy was sitting in the car with a meth pipe in his mouth. When the police officer took the pipe away from Chewy, he pulled out a second one!

Can you imagine living with a raccoon that’s on meth?

If you ever doubted these animals were smart enough to do serious damage, put those doubts to rest. Raccoons love human things—whether they’re good for them or not.

All laughter aside, we hope that Chewy will be placed on the road to recovery. He was apparently a legal pet raccoon, which isn’t common anywhere in the United States.

While we don’t expect to see a lot of druggie raccoons in Texas, we do see raccoons, every day, that tear up houses. They chew up wiring and insulation in the attic, use your house as their personal bathrooms, and fill your house with fleas. The fleas then jump onto you and your pets, carrying all manner of diseases. One of those diseases is rabies, which puts your pets at risk.

So if you’re hearing raccoons in the attic (they sound like someone heavy up there walking around), see holes in your soffits or roofing, see stains on your ceiling, or hear something scratching around inside the walls, it’s time to call us to schedule an inspection.

Our effective raccoon removal services are humane and ensure that the raccoon can be placed somewhere far from your home, without hurting them.
Raccoon removal is affordable, especially when compared to the cost of repairing all the damage they cause! They’ll never leave on their own, so call us today.

Don’t wait for them to find your favorite stash (even if your favorite stash is nothing more than a box of Oreos). By the time they feel safe enough to show themselves, they’ve taken full control of your home, which is the last thing you want.
